This form of psychotherapy includes all or several of the family members together with a counselor so that the focus is on adopting healthier communication and dynamics among family members. Family counselors focus on the family system as the "client" and work with the all or several of the family members in creating greater understanding and cohesiveness within the parent(s) and child(s).
 
Family therapy can include:

Sessions are for 60 minutes.
